Allison is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor who obtained her Master’s in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born and raised in the fruitcake capital of the world – Corsicana, Texas. She graduated with her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M and after teaching a while,  felt the desire to become a therapist. While living in Nashville, she had an opportunity to experience real healing and become a part of a ministry called Grace Ministries Tennessee, a non-profit organization that provides mentoring and counseling utilizing Spiritual and Biblical truths. From there, she felt led to pursue her Master of Arts in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary, further developing in her a lifelong love of talking to people and helping them heal from hurt. 

Allison finds joy in helping others discover hope in the midst of their pain and believes that healing happens within the context of relationships. She strives to create a warm, non-judgmental environment that encourages clients to gain awareness of themselves. She is passionate about meeting people right where they are and believes that all people have it within themselves the capacity for growth, change, and joy. 

With her provisional license, Allison is working on completing her certification in sex therapy along with becoming a practitioner in Somatic Experiencing.  Somatic Experiencing is a form of alternative therapy aimed at treating trauma and stress-related disorders. This approach prioritizes the mind-body connection in treatment to help address both physical and psychological symptoms of certain mental health concerns.

Marriage and Family Therapy

Allison is Gottman Levels 1 and 2 trained.Gottman interventions are designed to help couples strengthen their relationships in three primary areas: friendship, conflict management, and creation of shared meaning. Couples learn to replace negative conflict patterns with positive interactions and to repair past hurts. Interventions designed to increase closeness and intimacy are used to improve friendship, deepen emotional connection, and create changes, which enhances the couples shared goals. Along with couples, she offers a compassionate and confidential environment for individuals, couples, and families to navigate the complexities of their relationships. With a focus on open communication, conflict resolution, and strengthening connections, she helps you build the foundation for happier and healthier family dynamics. Navigating trauma, including betrayal and sexual trauma, requires specialized support and understanding. Allison wants to provide compassionate guidance and healing for individuals who have experienced these deeply distressing events. With a trauma-informed approach, she can create a safe space for you to explore your emotions, process your experiences, and develop coping strategies. Whether you’re healing from betrayal, sexual trauma, or any form of trauma, she is dedicated to helping you let go of shame, rebuild trust, and work towards a brighter, more empowered future.

Allison lives in Madison with her husband, Trey. Together, they have four children living in various places such as Colorado, South Carolina, Montana, and Jackson. Having children spread out across various locations provides opportunities for Allison and Trey to travel and visit them, fostering strong family bonds despite the distance. They also enjoy seeing and helping care for their two grandchildren, Elena and Lucy.
